Anna Lucille Franks of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Lucille, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on January 30, 1935 in Hempstead, Texas to parents William P. and Amy May Josey who preceded her in death. Mrs. Franks is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Franks; brother, William Josey; and sisters, Willie Lee Allen, Bertha Jenkins, and Erma Granier.
Lucille loved gardening alongside her husband Harold. She also loved cooking, canning and preserving the fruits and vegetables of their garden. She especially enjoyed the holidays when she could get together with her entire family. In Lucille's later years she was devoted to her church and fellow parishioners. She was an avid reader of the Bible and books of faith. Lucille will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Lucille is survived by her niece, Cindy Smith Boltz and nephew Kenneth W. Smith, whom she loved and raised as her own; brothers, Thomas Josey, James Josey and Marvin Josey; sisters, Ethel Apshire, Betty Jensen, Bernice Tanton, Sibyel Balla and Sidney Airheart; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at Pace Stancil Funeral Home - Cleveland on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Her services will be held in the chapel of Pace Stancil – Cleveland on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Lucille will be laid to rest next to her husband at Splendora City Cemetery immediately following her funeral.
