Phillip A. “Andy” Wood, 56, of Dayton, died Monday, January 9, 2012, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Andy was born September 7, 1955 in Owensboro, KY, to parents; Follis C. and Ida Wood, a former resident of Hardin, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 1973, attended Lee College, and was a retired maintenance supervisor for Enterprise Products of Mt. Belvieu after 28 years of employment. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Wood is survived by his sons: Brian Wood and wife Meredith of Dayton and Brandon Wood and wife Alicia of Dayton, his wife: Debbi Wood of Dayton; parents: Follis C. and Ida Wood of Hardin, brother: Mark Wood and wife Marie of San Antonio, sister: Cindy Wood of Hardin, grandchildren: Andrew, Landon, Marcus, and Sierra Wood, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
