Amy Marie Crippens, 84, of Crosby passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at home. She was born December 26, 1933 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Jasper and Gussie (Blackwell) Smith.
Services for Mrs. Crippens will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Galena Park Assembly of God with Glenda Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Mrs. Crippens had been a longtime resident of Jacinto City before moving to Crosby 6 years ago. She was an active member of the Galena Park Assembly of God. Amy loved her family and will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Gussie (Blackwell) Smith; her husband, Lloyd Crippens; daughters, Jerri Crippens Flowers and Kathy Crippens Jones; grandson, Rickey Lynn Fletcher; brother, Joe Smith; and sister, Patsy Edmond.
Amy is survived by son, Bobby Crippens and wife Kathy; son-in-law, Gary Jones; sisters, Pearl Vandver, Norma Hicks, Charlene Gregory, and Gladys Franklin; grandchildren, Deidre Graham and husband Chris, Lorie Flowers; great-grandchildren, Gavin Graham, Liam Graham, and Kingston Reyes; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
