Amy Agnes Milam, age 86 of Dayton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was born November 4, 1930 in Liberty Co., Texas to parents Wallace and Agnes (Carter) Jackson who preceded her in death along with her brother, Ray Jackson; sisters, Mattie Louise (Jackson) and Gene Curry, Norma Jean (Jackson) and Welton Mosley, Bonnie Joann (Jackson) and Curtis King; brother-in-law, Tommy Smith; husband, Ewin M. Milam; ex-husband, Albert E. Jones; and son-in-law, Robert P. Reeves, Jr.
Mrs. Milam was a faithful member and worker at Rural Shade Baptist Church. She was last employed at Big Thicket Veterinary Clinic (Zach Stevenson, DVM).
Survivors include her sister, Sadie Lee Smith; brother, Dewitt and Dorthy Jackson; daughter, Carolyn J. Reeves; grandson, Robert P. Reeves, III. and Meredith (Fortin); numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
