Alton Delbert Whitmire

Alton Delbert Whitmire, age 77 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born June 25, 1938 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Tolbert and Dora Whitmire who preceded him in death along with his son, Melvin Glenn Whitmire; sisters, Gracie Helen Shipp and Ruby Weaver; and brother, Claude Elbert Whitmire.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Whitmire; daughters, Elaine Hevron, Mandy Dettling and Lende Jeffcoat; sisters, Betty Whitmire, Lola Marcelle Blumer and Linda Hellbusch; brothers, Tolbert A. Whitmire (Buddy), Donald A. Whitmire, David Whitmire and Harvey Whitmire; grandchildren, Kalie Jeffcoat, Kendall Jeffcoat, Nicki Beguerisse and Justin Murray; numerous other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
