Alma Nicy Henry

Alma Nicy Henry, age 99, of Rye, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014. She was born April 05, 1914, in Sardis, Oklahoma. Mrs. Henry was an artist and an Instructor of Fine Arts for many years in the Houston, Channelview, Deer Park area. She will be remembered lovingly and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Allen Henry, Sr.; parents, Isaac and Ophelia Minick Shockley; two sons, and one granddaughter. Survivors include her son, Troy Henry, Jr. and wife, Peggy; sister, Gloria Hogan; daughter-in-law, Joyce Henry; grandchildren, Janice, Cheryl, Donna, Sandra, and Archie; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous other cherished family members and friends. Services will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas, with Timothy McGee presiding. Her final resting place will be at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
