Allene May Ford, 92, retired United Methodist Deaconess, died Nov. 29, 2012 at Clarewood House ECC, Houston. She was born March 29, 1920 in Dayton, Texas to Milo & Ella Fay Ford. She lived in NYC for much of her life, serving the United Methodist Church through the Women’s Division in Deaconess & Home Missionary Service. When she retired from national church work, she went to work on the staff of St. Paul’s UMC, Houston. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Allene is preceded in death by her parents & siblings, David & Boonie Ford, nephew David Westel Ford & great-niece Elizabeth Allene Bajgier & other beloved relatives. She is survived by brother M.W. & Dorothy Ford of Dayton; nephew Kerry & Theresa Ford of San Antonio; nieces Gail & Ted Smith of Houston; Gina & Gary Bajgier of The Woodlands; Jessica & John Johnson of Dayton. Great-nephews & nieces: Nathan & Adam Ford of Los Angeles; Sam & Tracie Mazzu of Houston; Katie & Lee Parker of Austin; Dorothy Jo & Ryan Landry of Bulverde; Meggie White of Dallas; Boone & Rebecca Bajgier of College Station; Esther & Ruth Ann Bajgier of The Woodlands. Great-great niece Norah Parker of Austin & great-great nephew Mason Landry of Bulverde and hosts of other beloved relatives. Allene’s Memorial Service will be on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 3:30pm at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5501 Main St., Houston 77004 with the Rev. Dr. L. James Bankston and Chaplain Thomas Hill presiding. The family remembers Allene as faithful, joyous, gracious and generous.
