Allen Kent Strait

Allen Kent Strait, 57, of Cleveland, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 with family by his side. Allen was born in Pasadena, Texas on December 28, 1961 to parents James Arthur and Jerre Gray Strait. He is preceded in death by his father, James Arthur Strait; brother, Sean McCarty; sister, Jamie Denise Strait-Bouffanie; paternal grandparents, James Sr. and Geraldine Strait; and maternal grandparents, J.C. and Verta Gray.

Allen had a strong work ethic, often doing projects around the house after working long hours. In his spare time, Allen enjoyed attending drag racing events, camping with family, spontaneous getaways with his partner, Judy and watching sporting events. Allen was a genuine, loving and compassionate man, who will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 13 years, Judy Underwood; mother, Jerre Gray; step-father, Patrick “Pat” McCarty; son, Marcus Strait; sister, Kelly McCarty; brother, Shannon McCarty; grandchildren, Jack Strait and Logan Strait; nieces, Adison Miser and Sophie Supack; step-sons, Jeremy Underwood and Jason Underwood; Step-daughter Claudette Underwood; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Allen's family will receive friends at Pace Stancil Funeral Home - Cleveland on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. His funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Glenn Mead officiating the service.
