Alice Shirley Jones

Alice Shirley LeJune Jones, 80, of Liberty, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, with burial at 4:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Shirley was born April 14, 1934 in Beaumont, to parents; Bertrand and Naomi Shaffer LeJune, a former resident of Alabama, and has resided in Liberty for the past 32 years. She was a homemaker, attended North Main Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading and her bible. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years: Kyle E. Jones, father: Bertrand LeJune, mother: Naomi Shaffer LeJune, daughter: Debbie Wirick, grandsons: Stephen Scott Campbell and Kevin Jones, sisters: Pat Kittell and Palma LaPoint, and brother: David LeJune. She is survived by her daughter: Cheryl Lynn Jones Stubblefield and husband Eric of Dayton, son: Kyle Eugene Jones, Jr. and wife Marilyn of Vidor, grandchildren: April Watson Alford and husband Doug, Christian Eugene Stubblefield and wife Angelica, and Cheryl Jones, great-grandchildren: Kevin Jones, Lane Alford, Hunter Alford, Elijah Campbell, and Autumn Alford on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
