Alice M. Navarre Swearingen, 84, of Conroe, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with burial following at Felps (also known as Phelps)Cemetery in Thicket. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Alice was born August 17, 1929 in White Castle, Louisiana, to parents; Henry and Bernadette Boudreaux Navarre, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Conroe for the past 37 years. She was a retired beautician and attended Lakewood Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, and enjoying hummingbirds and squirrels in nature. Mrs. Swearingen was preceded in death by her husband: James A. Swearingen, parents: Henry and Bernadette Navarre, brother: Harry, and sister: Bernice. She is survived by her sons: Randall Swearingen of Jersey Village, Kenneth Swearingen of Conroe, and Keith Swearingen and wife Marlene of Humble, grandchildren: Jason, Mark, Mickey, Charles, Joseph, Michael, Ryan, and Mandy Swearingen; brother: Henry Swearingen; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
