Alice Fay Cannon Watkins, 58, of Cleveland, died Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Alice was born October 20, 1956 in Greenville, SC, to parents; B. J. Cannon and Effie Evelyn Plumbley, a former resident of Splendora, and has resided in Cleveland for the past four years. She was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed watching sports, arranging flowers, sewing, and cleaning. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Mitchell, and grandson: Johnathan. She is survived by her husband: David Watkins of Cleveland, sons: David Watkins, Jr. and wife Amy of Humble, Wade Watkins and wife Amanda of Cleveland, and Aaron Watkins of Cleveland, daughters: Angie Bell of Cleveland and Brandy White of Cleveland, brothers: Bobby Joe, David, James, Todd, and Steve, sisters: Carolyn, Brenda, Janice, and Ola Mae, grandchildren: Taylor, Elijah, Jaziah, Mark, Majael, Ryan, Evan, Ethan, and Emily, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
