Alba Joyce Coleman

Alba Joyce Collins Coleman, age 79, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Kingwood, Texas. Mrs. Coleman was born July 14, 1934, in Montgomery County, Texas. She retired from Splendora ISD, after 32 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Albert and Bertie Marie Faulkner Collins; husband, John Wilburn Coleman; brothers, Marvin A. Collins and Sambo Collins. Survivors include her son, David Coleman and wife Linda; daughters, Debbie Stuart and husband Lloyd; Darla Baker and husband Ricky; sister, Wanna Love Thornton; sisters-in-law, Eloise Collins and Emily Fae Quinn; grandchildren, Stacy Stuart Cohn, Rusty Stuart, Courtney Coleman McMurray, John Coleman, Kristin Coleman Luker, and Kayla Baker; ten great-grandchildren, Joseph, Cole, Claire, Seth, Maren, Peyton, Connor, Kynlee, Cash, and Tyne; numerous nieces, nephews, and other treasured family members and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at High Point Fellowship, 12308 Hwy. 59, Splendora, Texas, with Judge James Metts presiding. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers include Rusty Stuart, John Coleman, Kurt Luker, Jason McMurray, Warren Cohn, Joseph Cohn, and Cole Cohn.
