Agnes Marie Talkington

Agnes ‘Marie’ Talkington, 79, of Liberty, passed away peacefully at her home on December 12, 2020 surrounded by her family. Marie was born February 11, 1941 in Liberty, Texas to parents Delmas and Edith Hickman.

Memorial service for Ms. Talkington will be at 11 o’clock, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.

Marie was a lifelong resident of the Liberty area. She attended Liberty schools. She was a longtime employee of Schlumberger Oil Field Service and then went on to work at Klemp in Dayton. Marie was a very active and loyal member of the Cornerstone Church where she served on the prayer and worship team. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Hampton and her beloved and devoted husband, Jim. She is survived by son, Kyle Hampton and wife Lisa; son, Jeffery Hampton; son, John Hampton; granddaughter, Meridith Villegas and husband Gonzalo; great-grandchildren, Callie and Samuel Villegas; grandchildren in love, Brandon and his daughter Skylar, Cortney and Logan Sumrall, their mother Amanda, and numerous other family and friends.
