Adrian Burl Sampson, age 60 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born January 6, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to parents Chesley and Molly Sampson who preceded him in death along with his sister, Chryl Lynn Richardson.
Mr. Sampson was a 1977 graduate of Friendswood High School. He was the Assistant State Director for Dixie softball and was a two-time inductee into the Dixie League Hall of Fame. Burl was involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and coached youth basketball. He was a Chevrolet truck enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Renay Sampson; children, Adrian Sampson, Charlie Sampson, and Nicole Sampson; brothers, Michael James Sampson and wife Elaine, William Keith Sampson and wife Elizabeth; sister, Brenda Joyce Evans and husband Dennis; good friends, Don Kline, Randy Hutchins, Charlie Cheatom, Tony Scott, James Hefley, Jerry Whitmire, Pat and Kathy Belinoski; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
