Ada Mae Shaw Williams at the age 99 years went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Hospice Brazos Valley in Bryan, Texas. Ada was born on February 16, 1914 to John Thomas and Ardella Isabell Clark Shaw and raised in Alto, Texas. She married her husband Clenon Farley Williams on December 26, 1933. They were married almost 63 years until his death on November 18, 1996 at the age of 91. Together they raised three children. They farmed most of their lives before moving to Houston and later retired and moved to Cleveland, Texas. She worked for Dentler Maid Potato Chip Company for fifteen years. She loved working in her flower garden and doing crafts. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Following her stroke, she spent the last eight years in Lampstand Nursing Home in Bryan, Texas and was lovingly cared for by her devoted daughter and caregivers. Ada was also preceded in death by her brothers Elbert Shaw, Marvin Shaw and wife Ruby Dee; sister Myrtle Elsie Shaw Singletary, son-in-law Bill Owens. She is survived by her children, Benita S. Williams Owens, of College Station, Texas, Jerry Clenon and wife Beverly Williams of Fayetteville, Georgia, Farley Wayne and wife Sharon Williams of Blairsville, Georgia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, twins Ronald and Robin Wilson, Suzanne Carter and husband Alan, Timothy Williams, Kevin Williams and wife Hilary. She was also a great-grandmother to Andrew Wilson, Evan, Dixon and Grayson Carter, Heidy and Makai Williams; numerous nieces, nephew and many faithful friends.
