Horace Wilburn Vann, 83, Cleveland, Texas died December 8, 2014 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born February 25, 1931 in Coldspring, Texas to parents, Floyd and Annie Vann.

Visitation for Mr. Vann will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Horace was a Godly man and member of Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. He was an excellent husband, married to his one and only for 59 years and 9 months and was looking forward to 60 years of marriage. He was a terrific dad as well as wonderful Paw Paw to his grandkids and great grandkids. He always enjoyed having family and friends around. He made a career of driving trucks. He was the type of man that his word was his bond and if you needed help, would do whatever he could to help. He loved to garden and share his bounty with others, cook indoors and outdoors, play 42, watch his grandkids perform. He will be missed by family and friends, but never forgotten, for everyone that knew him knows for certain that he is with his heavenly father and the rest of his family that went before him.

Mr. Vann was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Annie Vann; sisters, Bula Hinson, Fay Lilley and Alice Murry; brothers, Lloyd Vann and A.J. Vann; granddaughter, Heather Vann.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years and 9 months, Vivian Elizabeth Vann; daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Burger and husband, Steve; sons, Michael Horace Vann and wife, Nancy and Paul Ray Vann and wife, Atheala; sister Mattie Richards, sister in law, Judy Vann; brother Cleo Vann and wife Bobby Vann; grandchildren, Wesley Patton and wife, Sarah, Sarah Schofield and husband, James, Karrie Vann, Brittany Ortiz and husband, Tim, Justin Vann, Lane Vann and Tracie Garcia; great grandchildren, Autumn Vann, Emily Schofield, Gage Ortiz, Cal Garcia, and Gracie Garcia; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
